Ding Dong Disko, the vibrant Kemang hotspot known for its eclectic music and energetic atmosphere, is preparing to close its doors after a successful run from 2019 to 2025. To celebrate its legacy and mark this evolution, Ding Dong Disko presents “See You Later,” a week-long musical extravaganza running from February 7th to 15th, 2025. This series of events will honor the diverse sounds, communities, and moments that have defined Ding Dong Disko, while also hinting at exciting future endeavors.

“See You Later” is more than just a closing party; it’s a celebration of Ding Dong Disko’s contributions to Jakarta’s music scene. The event aims to achieve several key objectives, such Celebrating Diverse Music Genres, Marking an Evolution, Uniting Communities, Honoring the Legacy, Bridging the Underground and Mainstream, Delivering a Unique Experience, Building Excitement for the Future

The week-long celebration features a diverse lineup of events, showcasing both local and international talent:

• February 7th, 2025: Phunktion: Indonesia’s longest-running Drum & Bass night, hosted by JAVABASS SOUNDSYSTEM, brings the energy with a special performance by UK drum & bass MC, DEGS.
• February 8th, 2025: Off The Record: Ding Dong Disko’s internal program, offering fresh and exciting nights, collaborates with Maad, Droopy, Los Chicos, and Kraus to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
• February 13th, 2025: Girls Don’t Cry: Ding Dong Disko’s program catering to a female audience, closes the week with performances by Pak Kardiman, Shafa, Trisa and Nasha (DJ), promising a trendy and relevant night.
• February 14th, 2025: Space Trip: Tripo 3000’s program dedicated to house, techno, and everything in between, showcases the essence of the 3000 Group spirit with performances by TRIPO 3000, SALA, JASPER JAMES, GLASLOOP, ELLGA (LIVE SET), and VT-00 (LIVE SET). This event features not only international talent JASPER JAMES but also Tripo3000 co-founders Kana and Mayo. Kana’s experience organizing underground parties in Melbourne and his forward-thinking approach to house and techno, combined with Mayo’s deep roots in the Jakarta underground house scene and his diverse musical influences, promise a truly special night.
• February 15th, 2025: Slicer: Ding Dong Disko’s popular program, known for its connection with a younger audience, concludes its closing week with a collaboration with Komunitas Jenglot, delivering an unforgettable night of bass music.

Adding to the excitement are performances by internationally recognized artists:

• JASPER JAMES: This Glasgow-born DJ and producer has become a respected name in electronic music, blending off-kilter house and hypnotic techno.
• DEGS: One of the best emcees in the Drum & Bass circuit, this multi-talented singer/songwriter is known for his high-energy performances and popular tracks like “Poveglia.”

And prominent national talents:

• Kana: A driving force behind Tripo3000, Kana brings his experience from Melbourne’s underground scene and a passion for forward-thinking house and techno.
• Mayo: With roots in the Jakarta underground house movement and a diverse range of influences, Mayo delivers fresh and meaningful sets spanning house, disco, and techno.

Ding Dong Disko, located in the A3000 Creative Compound on Jl. Kemang Raya, has been a destination known for its retro, vibrant, and groovy ambiance, reminiscent of the space age era. “See You Later” is a fitting farewell to this unique space, celebrating its past while paving the way for future musical adventures.
